CITY TOUR NITERÓI
TOUR INFORMATION
Our tour begins by crossing the Rio-Niterói Bridge, the largest bridge in Brazil and one of the largest in the world. Inaugurated in 1974, the imposing work measures 72m in height and is 13,290m in length. A size is worthy of such important work for Rio de Janeiro and for Brazil.
On this path, we will allow seeing a beautiful landscape, highlighting the Sugar Loaf Mountain and Rio downtown.
Let’s get to know the great jewel of the renowned architect Oscar Niemeyer, inaugurated in 1996, which has more than a thousand works of contemporary Brazilian art. Due to its different design and what it already represents for the city, MAC is definitely one of the biggest postcards of Niterói.
In addition to the entire coastal route that goes from the center of Niterói, Aterro da Praia Grande to the Charita’s district, there is a secondary ferry station also revitalized and designed by the architect. For this reason, when inaugurated in 2002, it received the name of Caminho Niemeyer.
Did you know that Niterói has the largest set of forts and fortresses in Brazil?
Rio de Janeiro was the capital of the Colony and the Empire for almost 200 years, in addition to having already been one of the main ports in the country, and for that reason, it needed strong defenses against possible foreign invasions of the Guanabara Bay.
As it is part of the other side of the entrance, Niterói has become a fundamental point of protection for Rio.
Santa Cruz Fortress is the most important, strategically located at the entrance of the Bay. We will go there!
If there is a more spectacular view of Niterói than Parque da Cidade, it is yet to be discovered.
Its ramps are used for the practice of hang gliding, with spectacular scenery all around. And from there you have the best sunset around, without a shadow of a doubt.

ADVANTAGES OF A PRIVATE TOUR
- Optimization of your time and money, visiting and staying in the places of interest, without delays from other tourists, which unfortunately happens in group tours.
- Private and exclusive tour guide.
- Exclusive transport, with total convenience. In a group tour, on the other hand, transport is shared and often crowded, putting your family and/or friends' health at risk (COVID19).
- More detailed explanation, being able to direct the information to the points of your interest and of your companions. Infinite number of questions are allowed, as this is an interpersonal relationship.
- There are no stops at pre-established restaurants and shops and tourist catchers.
- Flexible schedules, allowing you to get to places when they are empty. Unlike a group tour, visiting hours generally coincide with other tours, crowding out attractions.
- Custom-made itineraries to visit only the places you and your fellow travelers want.
- More time to take pictures, wander around and stay where you and your companions are most interested. Without having the hassle of tourists who are late, get lost and hinder the progress of your tour.
- Ride at your own pace and that of your fellow travelers. Stay where you and your fellow travelers are most interested.
