TOUR INFORMATION
Petropolis Tour: The Imperial City 👑✨
Just 65 km from Rio de Janeiro, nestled among the Serra dos Órgãos mountains, lies Petrópolis, the charming Imperial City. Planned in the 19th century, it was the favorite retreat of the royal family and still preserves its aristocratic atmosphere, with palaces, historic mansions, and tree-lined streets.
Recognized as the first planned city in Brazil and the the only imperial city in South AmericaPetrópolis is a true cultural and historical treasure. Walking its streets is like traveling back in time, reliving the period when Dom Pedro II chose the city for his summer vacations.
Our tour begins by crossing the Atlantic Forest of the Serra dos Órgãos National Park, with stunning landscapes until we reach the imposing Quitandinha Palace, built to be the largest hotel-casino in Latin America, with luxurious architecture in Hollywood Rococo and Norman-French styles.
In the heart of the city, we will visit the Imperial Museum, former official residence of Dom Pedro II and today one of the most important museums in Brazil, full of pieces, documents and memories of the Empire.
We will continue to the Cathedral of Saint Peter of Alcantara, a beautiful example of French neo-Gothic architecture that houses the imperial mausoleum of the Brazilian royal family.
Next, we will visit the charming summer residence of Santos Dumont, the “Father of Aviation”, affectionately called “The Enchanted One”With its curious racket-shaped staircase and the inventor's personal belongings, it's a visit full of surprises and curiosities.
Another highlight is the Crystal Palace, inspired by European buildings, commissioned by the Count of Eu for Princess Isabel. Its delicate iron and glass structure is one of the city's most iconic landmarks.
And to top it all off, you'll have the option to visit the Bohemia Brewery, the first in Brazil. An interactive and delicious tour that combines tradition, history, and, of course, refreshing tastings. 🍺

- We create tailor-made itineraries to visit only the places you and your travel companions want.
- More time to take photos, explore the sites, and stay where you and your companions are most interested. Without the hassle of tourists who are late, get lost, and disrupt your tour.
