Our tour begins by visiting the iconic Maracanã stadium, the largest temple of soccer in the world. It hosted two World Cup finals as well as the Olympic Games of 2016.
The Carnival of Rio de Janeiro is known all over the world. It is considered by many “the greatest spectacle on earth”. We will visit the place where everything happens, the Sambodromo.
We will visit the Metropolitan Cathedral of São Sebastião, built in 1979. It is known as the milestone of modern and bold architecture, imposing and functional, distinguished by its noble simplicity. In 1980 it was visited by Pope John Paul II, and in 2013, it was Pope Francis` turn. Now it will be yours!
Walking through the Center of Rio, we can observe the day by day of the Cariocas and we can also visit traditional places like Colombo Coffee Shop. The most famous Coffee Shop in Rio, a historical gem of Rio’s architecture and gastronomy.
Visiting The Olympic Boulevard is to enjoy the newest attractive place of Rio. Spacious, modern and with a fantastic view of the Guanabara Bay.
This place was upgraded for the Olympic Games of 2016. We will walk along Mauá Square, “the heart of the port zone of Rio de Janeiro”, around it, we will see beautiful buildings, such as Museum of Tomorrow, Art Museum of Rio (MAR) and the construction of the first skyscraper of the country, called “A Noite” (The Night). Besides that, we will visit the impressive work of the Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra, a 3,000 square meter mural that represents the integrated spirit of the Olympic Games. “Etnias” Mural (The Ethnicities Mural) “We are all one”, a true message of peace and unity.
Niterói, the Smile City! Marvelous City`s neighbor. Driving through Rio-Niterói Bridge, only 13 kilometers separate it from Rio de Janeiro. It is bathed by the Guanabara Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. It has a coast of more than 11 kilometers of beautiful beaches and the prettiest views of Rio de Janeiro.
We will visit the main building in the city, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Niterói, amazing architecture with a magnificent landscape.
Another high point of the Smile City is the Park of the City, which has an environmental protection area (APA); it is a special place, at an altitude of 270 meters, with a spectacular sunset and there are two ramps to practice hang-gliding and paragliding.
