DISCOVER THE HISTORY AND ARCHITECTURE OF RIO

TOUR INFORMATION
If you are passionate about architecture or simply admire urban history and culture, this tour is for you!
Let's explore the perfect integration between Rio's natural beauty and the masterpieces created by the genius of architects and urban planners over the centuries.
Rio de Janeiro has already left its definitive mark on the history of world architecture. In just a few centuries, the city has undergone radical transformations in its topography and urban planning, incorporating complex engineering techniques and earning the title of World Capital of Architecture.
What you will experience on this tour:
A chronological tour of Rio's architecture – from the colonial period to the contemporary.
A look at the eclectic styles that mark each phase of the city: religious, civil, military, imperial and modern.
Understanding how Rio's architecture reflects decisive political and cultural moments in Brazil's history.
An immersion in cultural landscapes where nature, urbanism and art walk side by side.
Throughout your tour, you'll notice how Rio stands apart from any other Brazilian city. For nearly two centuries, it was the country's political and cultural center:
Capital of the Colony and residence of the viceroys in the 18th century
Seat of the Portuguese Court and the United Kingdom of Portugal, Brazil and the Algarves in the 19th century
Capital of the Brazilian Empire and, later, of the Republic until 1960
This unique heritage is reflected in colonial churches, fortresses, imperial palaces, modernist buildings, and icons of contemporary architecture.
✨ Get ready for an experience that combines history, art, culture, and landscape in a single itinerary. Rio is a true open-air gallery, and each building reveals an important chapter of our identity.

ADVANTAGES OF A PRIVATE TOUR
- Optimize your time and money by visiting and staying in the places you're interested in, without being delayed by other tourists, which unfortunately happens on group tours.
- Private and exclusive tour guide.
- Exclusive transportation, with total comfort. On a group tour, however, transportation is shared and often crowded, putting the health of you and your family and/or friends at risk (COVID-19).
- More detailed explanation, with the possibility of directing the information to your personal interests and those of your companions. An infinite number of questions are allowed, as this is an interpersonal relationship.
- There are no stops at pre-established restaurants and shops or tourist traps.
- Flexible schedules allow you to reach places when they're less crowded. Unlike a group tour, visiting times often coincide with other excursions, causing attractions to be crowded.
- We create tailor-made itineraries to visit only the places you and your travel companions want.
- More time to take photos, explore the sites, and stay where you and your companions are most interested. Without the hassle of tourists who are late, get lost, and disrupt your tour.
- Travel at your own pace and that of your fellow travelers. Stay where you and your companions are most interested. Without the hassle of tourists who are late, get lost, and disrupt the progress of your tour.
